My career in web development didn’t start with the goal of becoming an expert in everything. It started with learning how websites actually work and gradually taking on more challenging projects.

After completing my BS in Computer Science from Superior University, Lahore, I continued developing my practical skills through professional web development work. My early roles gave me the opportunity to work on WordPress websites, troubleshoot technical problems, customize WooCommerce stores, and understand what happens behind a website after development is complete.

Over time, WordPress became one of the main areas of my work. I wasn’t interested in simply installing a theme and changing a few settings. I wanted to understand PHP, MySQL, custom themes, plugins, WooCommerce, hosting, DNS, and deployment.

That approach eventually helped me take on complete projects—from development and customization to deployment and post-launch support.

Why I Expanded Into Shopify and SEO

As I worked with different businesses, I realized that building a website is only one part of the job.

A website can look great and still be slow. An online store can have excellent products but struggle with search visibility. A WordPress website can work perfectly today and experience a technical or security problem tomorrow.

This pushed me beyond development.

I started working more deeply with technical and on-page SEO, including website structure, indexing, metadata, page speed, Core Web Vitals, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Google My Business optimization.

I also expanded my development work into Shopify, working with storefront customization, themes, apps, and Shopify SEO.

Today, I see development and SEO as connected parts of the same project.

Learning From Difficult Problems

Some of the most valuable experience in my career came from problems that weren’t straightforward.

I’ve worked on server deployment, website downtime, debugging, performance issues, and manual malware removal. Instead of treating these situations as someone else’s responsibility, I learned to investigate the underlying problem and find a practical solution.

That mindset has shaped the kind of developer I am today.

I’m still learning, still experimenting, and still taking on more complex technical challenges. One example is the custom ODOO CRM and task management system I built for internal company operations, covering task tracking, employee reporting, sales pipelines, and multi-department workflows.

For me, becoming a WordPress & Shopify Developer wasn’t about collecting technologies. It was about learning how to solve real problems.
